I'm interested in getting one of the VIP keys, I'll do what I can on here to help out in terms of question answering and posting information.

I've been gaming for 11-12 years now in pretty much every genre. If I see a game that looks interesting I play it and see how I like it. I've played near 100 or so mmorpg's so far, some have been far better than others. Rift seems like it's going to be a good game, despite how much of a WoW clone it is. It brings several of its own features to the game, for example they have gotten rid of the set gears so now you won't see everyone running around with the same exact items just because they are the best. There will be some strategy and tactics used when building your character's gear. Since the game has elemental types in it, resistance gear is going to be a must as well. On top of that there is the soul tree setup. With players being able to branch off into 3 different soul trees there are around 84 different combination of characters you can try to play. These range from the typical Warrior meatshield tank to a very odd Rouge healer and buffer. The possibilities will leave players making alt characters just to try out different builds repeatedly. On top of all of this there is the improved graphics, while they aren't the best in the gaming industry they are still up there. Everything is polished quite nicely and well balanced in terms of coloring. Overall the game looks like it will be good and I can hopefully take part in the Closed Beta to help find the bugs that could ruin it. (See Final Fantasy 14 and how badly it flopped because of bugs/glitches)

Well here is hoping :)

I was teased by what many other games are doing these days with issuing keys then saying it is for a undisclosed upcoming beta date, depending on luck with invite waves. Umm ... why do I have a key then? lol

But I guess VIP keys are the cool ticket these days and this game is certainly on the short list of extremely promissing future mmo's. I absolutely love the lore (moreso than any other new mmo thus far), the character development and class concepts.

I just ended my several months of Cataclysm beta testing and have no interest in playing into release (didn't even have an active account ... HAHA Bliz!).

I NEEDS a new mmo testing fix!!1! /twitch (I swear if mmo's had bug testing as an end game they would interest me even more lol)... and the promise of a great new mmo.

Oh btw, nice new dedicated site for RIFT!

I have been an avid world of Warcraft player since 2 months before the burning crusade was in stores I been playing everyday for as long as I could each day, I've been from one end of the game to the other and now I'm seriously feeling a change is nessessary. I got intruged with Rift while I was updating my world of Warcraft mods curse client showed an ad for Rift and I checked it out and if the game has a play experience that is anything like the visual experience then I would be more than willing to switch and tear in to the world of telara.

in closing I have found allot of glitches and exploits in world of Warcraft and I would like the chance to use my skills at finding them in Rift to help the beta along.

Awesome contest :) Guess I'll introduce myself as well:

I've been playing MMOs for years and tried most of the popular ones: EVE Online, WoW, GW, Everquest 1 & 2, Ultima Online, Warhammer Online, Dark Age of Camelot, etc. I got bored of WoW, and knowing that Rift isn't going to be the same old, same old really excited me. I'm tired of all the WoW clones and repetitive gameplay. I'm really for something new, and Rift looks to be the way to go! :D

I missed all VIP events by just a few minutes. I even installed a Twitter App to instantly get updates. I'm super hyped for the game and want to contribute. Here is hoping this is a event/VIP Giveaway that i won't miss.

I have a decent amount of MMO and Beta experience, AoC, Aion, Warhammer, WoW, Lotro and several smaller titles.

i think everyone wants a vip key, this game has generated so much hype, just by facebook, twitter ect, and thats a great thing because this game looks to be so good.

as far as who i am, im a nerd a proud of it, proably for life but who knows, i cut my teeth on mmos in the days of uo, pre trammel when nox mages ruled the world, i have snice played every major mmo to date and have a nice nerdy shine next to my desk with all the boxes displayed, im a proud member of addiction for over 3 years and have been out of the mmo community for the last year or so due to the garbage that has been pushed on us, rift is the first time ive gotten really excited about a game in a while, and ive been following it day and day out.

I have been watching this game since it was called Heros of Telara. I think the class system and rift system seem very interesting. I can't say that I will post a lot on this or any other forum until I have some knowledge of the game but once I am in beta or playing I will contribute to the wiki and participate on the forums.

A VIP pass from Zam would be nice. :)

I really enjoy the hype that this game is generating and all of the ways that Trion is giving us to get VIP passes. It's probably the best media blitz I've seen for getting into a beta since WoW's back in '04.

I haven't been able to beta a game since Warhammer Online and I miss helping get a game into the mainstream. I recently closed my Warcraft account and I'm itching for a chance to play a new game.

Thank you ZAM for giving us this opportunity.

Hey sign me up!

MMO is the only genre of game I ever play, and after WoW destroyed most current MMO's I am hoping this game gets back to the roots of what makes MMOs great. Vanguard was very promising, and I played it for a long while, but due to a lot of internal issues and a weak rushed release it just couldn't recover. There hasn't been anything promising except for this game that I've been waiting several years for, so hopefully I can help with input and discussions in beta.

I have beta tested many games over the years, the last big game being Vanguard:Saga of Heroes, and a lot of my input was used in the game itself. I really helped develop their Diplomacy sphere, which was fun, since it was a new and interesting thing to add to a MMO.

Anyway I hope you decide to let me help out, and look forward to seeing you in game.

Well as others, I came on here for my chance for a VIP Beta key. I go to create an account and it said I already had an account (???). So I get my log in and check my account and I still have my EQ characters registered here and linked from Alakhazam. Ahh the memories. Here's hoping for a quick few months of hopeful testing and game release.

I really think Rift is going to be the next big game. Probably won't topple WoW any time soon, or ever, but if it lives up to even half it's hype I will being enjoying my free time playing Rift for at least a year or two.

I love testing out betas and putting in feedback, I always feel accomplished helping with a game that I end up playing for years. :)

Hi,

So what do I have to do to higher my chances of getting a beta key?

I am a long time MMO gamer.

I have played, Dark age of Camelot, Age of Conan, World of Warcraft, AION, and EVE.

My longest gaming experience was Dark age, which lasted almost 6 years. The game in my eyes has been the best MMO ever created.

I am currently playing WoW, while the world holds is breath in wait for a new MMO.

I love all aspects to a MMO, both pvp and pve, but both need to be as good as each other. Which is a formula that DAOC had.

I am looking forward to RIFT as it has some old mechanics that I know will work, plus some new ideas that if implemented correctly will be good.

I am no fan boy.

I will pick at this game as what i am supposed to do as a beta tester. I will not overlook major issues it may have due to blind devotion that some other people may have.

If I can beta test this game, I will give the best feedback possible.

Alright I'm in this it win it. Been playing mmorpgs for a little over 7 years now so I can't wait to get the chance to see Rift. It may sound surprising but I've never played WoW. I was into Planetside (mmofps) when WoW first came out and it decimated the PS community. The maps seemed deserted almost overnight and because of that I held a grudge against it for killing my favorite game. Not say that WoW is in anyway a bad game, I've just always felt bad blood between us.
I've played both WAR and AoC and this game seems to have a little bit of a mix in it. I feel for certain that I will subscribe to Rift when it releases and this beta will only be the icing on the cake for me.
Would type more but I have a midterm paper to type up :P **** your VIP key temptations.

It 's really quite a contest, offering the VIP key for a little' help to others is not bad, I like it. I'll start with my presentation :)

It's 2 years that the MMO game, I made a year in a free game, just to see how this world and what was offered in the second year I started to play Aion, where I created my guild (which is still active in pending and Tera Rift http://www.nomercy.mmoguildsites.com/). In this year of Aion, I had a great time playing with my teammates in battles in dungeons, with pvp, with guild and more. Now we are waiting for other beaches, see Rift (precisely) as well as Tera, which can not be excluded.

Ah, I forgot, I come from Italy but I am Brazilian.

Guess I'll throw myself out there too. Been playing PC games as long as I can remember. Started off with a MUD, then moved on to EQ1 for a few years, then to FFXI, then WoW, then sadly with FFXIV. I played a lot of free games and other online and offline games...

A list of some older games I loved playing...

Might and Magic 3 through darkside of xeen
Tie Fighter & X-Wing
D1-D2
War 1-War 3
Sc1 & Sc2
Baldurs gates
NWN
Dragon Age
The list drags on, but my memory...

I hope I get selected for the third's beta testing. I know they can do a lot of interesting things with how the rifts are, and would love to put my input on game. Anyways, I hope the game does well and is out before summer time.

So I'm usually pretty quiet when it comes to posting on forums but this is an opportunity I can't pass up. I've been excited about Rift since my husband told me about it about 6 months ago. I've been an avid mmo player for 7 years or so now. It all started when a friend was playing EQ2 while I was at their house. I thought it looked interesting so I started a character on their account to give it a try. The rest is history. I played EQ2 hardcore for about 4 years before needing a breather. I've beta tested EQ2, Vanguard, Age of Conan, Aion, FFXIV and World of Warcraft. For the past few years I've been playing World of Warcraft. I've had fun with WoW but I'm ready for something fresh. Crossing my fingers for a VIP beta key!

I've been through my share of beta-tests, but so far, Rift looks like one of the most engaging examples of what an MMORPG should be. The community has already become so rich and diverse, and the developers have been listening to the soon-to-be players on their thoughts and concerns about some of the more intriguing portions of the game. (Such as the dynamic rifts themselves)

As a member of Warrior Nation ( http://www.warriornation.net ) as well as press for the newer Ishiyent Gaming Forum ( http://ishziyentgamingforum.forumotion.net/index.htm ) I'd be very interested in giving this game some serious hype. I also have a couple of other friends interested in this beta test, and will attempt to grab them and get them onto this forum, as well as other gaming communities.

Thank you for this opportunity to join one of the most exciting new MMORPG's for the end of the 2010 4th Quarter. We hope to see you in game!

Well Thank you guys for giving all this chance to win a VIP ticket.
I am looking forward to beta testing this game one way or another.

For my information of past experience i will be brief. I have tested my fair share of mmo all the way from closed alpha through full open. I have been a part of a closed betas for both pay to play and free to play mmos of various genres. I have participated in paid beta testing for different consols.
Honestly if you require more information ask me. ^_^.

I am more interested in getting to know the community for the game and the dev team behind this game. After these are the people who I will hopefully be spending hours and hours of time with in the beta.

I've been an mmoer for about 5 years now, Started on WoW because I was a blizzard fanboy from way back. Played for about a year, than ditched, when i realized i was just going through the motions and not really having "Fun" anymore.

I than began searching for more MMOs. Followed War through it's release and got into the beta, loved it until everyone stopped playing. Than Eve which is still, imo, one of the greatest games on the market. I stopped my sub to that when my alliance broke up... :(. After that I stopped for a while, and went back to playing Dota and then LOL which I now play semi-religiously.

All the while looking for the game to bring me back into the MMO world. Here's to hoping rift will be the one.

Well, I'll add to the droves of folks hoping to get their hands on a VIP key.

I'm a 20 year old guy who barely passed high school due to a World of Warcraft addiction that has spanned from about half-way through The Burning Crusade until current times. While I'm excited for Cataclysm and thank Tankspot a million times over for their guides for WoW raid bosses (seriously, they've saved me more than once from being kicked from a raid), I'd like to get my feet wet in another MMO while I've still got plenty of time to spend having no life.

I've been through EQ2, the dreaded FF14 beta, Vanguard, Warhammer Online, Champions Online, City of Heroes, City of Villains, Runescape, Neopets, various Facebook applications, Dynasty Warriors Online beta (which I'm still greatly enjoying, despite the hacker problem), Phantasy Star Online, Phantasy Star Universe, Aion, and countless other MMO and MMO-type games. Sadly, very few of them stuck with me for long, and aside from my long-lived WoW addiction and the occasional return to some of the more fondly remembered games, I'm still searching for an MMO to sink my teeth into alongside WoW (everyone who's played knows how bad patch days can be).

Rift piques my interest in two ways: by enraging my theory-crafter self by presenting it with a neigh impossible challenge, and delighting the rest of me with the freedom and fun that such a diverse class/spec system creates. Furthermore, as someone who loves to scour the internet and read every scrap of lore available, Rift is giving me more than enough to taste and get me hooked and wanting to see how things work in-game and how the epic stories will play out!

If I'm lucky enough to grab myself a key, I'll have my game-face on and my caffeine at the ready to stay up and take in everything I can and give my feedback. Here's hoping for some good luck coming my way!

This is somewhat exciting and a great way to build the "hype" surrounding this game. It is somewhat fun if you are able to take part in the contests. Sadly I doubt that I will be able to win my VIP code due to the work day. But such is life I will eagerly anticipate the arrival of this game and hope that it is going to be Epic!

I have played multiple games online and end up loosing interest as most games lack high end game content. I am looking forward to this game and my guild mates over at www.imperiumguild.eu (which are currently recruiting for 21+ players for this game_ looking to grow our numbers and establish new friendships!) Make sure that if you are in a guild and wish for them to get a chance to play that you register on the Rift forums!

Anyhow, thanks for the contest just thought I would drop by and check this site out as well. It is quite entertaining for me..but that could be because I am a girl! :P LOL

Also, my wife uses your site for Free Realms!

Good luck everyone on getting a key, and besides the more hype we spread around for Rift the better. I am eagerly awaiting this release!

The game looks like it has promise. I have been into MMO’s since the 1st started, and before them on MUDS. Not going to go into the history, what is in the past is the past, what I am looking for is something new, and Rifts looks like it will foot the bill. Most MMOs for the last 2 years have been one boxed shelf holder after another.

My guild, is hot for this game, and I like that fact that it is visually stunning and the game specs are not off the charts. It has the PvP that I crave, and it will have crafting and raids that I can run with my guild. I have been part of many betas, and love to leave feedback on anything that will help to make a gaming experience a more enjoyable and fun thing.

Hmm,growing up on mmos and beta testing them gives me some experience, but I don't think having beta testing experience really means one deserves a VIP pass anymore than the rest. It's really not that hard, have fun, report bugs, and contribute to the community is basically what it boils down too, and I think anyone should be able to do it.

It's good that Trion made another way to win a VIP key other than Facebook, Twitter and contests. It gives people another chance to get into the Rift Beta and that's a good thing !!

I've been trying to get a VIP code off Facebook forever. That is next to impossible. One I'm either working or doing something when they post them. I would love to have a VIP code. I've played Final Fantasy XI, Warhammer, and Aion. I also beta tested Final Fantasy XIV but wasn't interested in that game at all. Rift looks awesome and it's got me. I would love to do whatever I can to help make that game great.
