Well seeing this might be only way for me to receive a VIP code I am eager to help to grow this forum and hopefully earn a VIP key. Somehow I am in a bad time-zone compared to other websites who give out VIP codes. So first of all good way to give away these VIP codes. Not random but based on activity and stories.

Now lets get this forum active and hopefully members will stay here!

I've been following this game since its name was, "Heroes of Telara." I have yet to get a VIP and I am always on Facebook hitting F5 for a chance to play this amazing looking game. I thank you for giving us the opportunity to get a VIP beta key so we may test this game and give good feedback to make it even better than it already is. I've already told all my friends about the game and they want to play it on release, I'll also let them know about the ZAM Rift forums and website too. Thanks again for doing this and good luck everyone in getting a VIP beta key.

I'm looking forward to Rift. I have been playing MMO's since 1998, and PC games in general since the Apple II came out in the 80's. I have been a continual Everquest player since 1998, and have tried most of the other MMO's since then, but got bored with most of them and always went back to EQ. Fast forward to the current state of the game, it is my belief that EQ's days are numbered and I am looking for an MMO that won't bore me to death and Rift looks very promising. I first heard about it when a guildie mentioned it, and I had to check it out. I only wish I had heard about it sooner! I am looking forward to trying out a bladedancer. I really like the way the soul tree works and how you can blend different classes, I am very intrigued by it and look forward to it.

I've been playing MMO's for just over 10 years now. Since Vanguard is on it's last breath my husband and I have been eagerly following Rift in the hopes that it will be our new home. I would love the opportunity to beta test both to improve the game (As recent game launches have been so horrible) and to just have a chance at a sneak peek too :)

Well, the offer worked. I signed up due to this event. =)

I first saw Rift at E3. Their booth really stood out, and after watching the presentations I knew this game was going to be a hit. Trion might just become the next big gaming company on par with Blizzard given enough time.

To support this event, here is a video I took while at E3. Enjoy!

Here is my take on these VIP beta keys:

I've decided I am probably not even going to buy or play this game. Between myself, my wife, and my kids, someone is throwing away 5 paying accounts with the silliness in the way they are providing beta access. There are not many MMO's that I have not been a beta participant in. While my family's 5 accounts may only be a dent in the bank, we'll stick with denting the bank of the companies that value $ and customers in favor of silliness and randomness without concern or regard for whether or not those people even intend to play or pay post-beta.

I have to admit that I'm a tad more interested in Guild Wars 2, as I like the sound of "no dedicated healing class" and the idea that my husband and I could quest and game together in GW2 without one or the other of us feeling obligated to play a tank or healer - we'll have the freedom to play the professions we think are most fun. However, my eye is turned more to Rift news lately in large part because they are actually providing some news and are actively moving forward toward release! Now those aren't the only reasons I'm interested, mind you, it looks like the dynamic content and free class system will be interesting, and I do like the inclusion of mounts within the game. I'm old school, vanilla WoW style, when it comes to travel within MMOs. I'm worried that the waypoint travel in GW2 will be counter-immersive and won't let me get the big, beautiful world feel I like from MMOs, so Rift wins out there. Practically speaking, I may end up going with GW2 in the end because I won't have to pay for a box AND the dreaded subscription fee. But, Rift does look interesting and I'll probably give it a whirl. ESPECIALLY if it comes out significantly before GW2, as it looks to do.

Isn't this better than simply waiting around for an email from the company? It's not like this is open beta - this is still very much a "closed" beta period.

There isn't a single truely successful F2P game out there. The reason is lack of updates/content being released, not to mention their funding from cash shops eventually dwindles down as everyone either quits since its overpowered or has all of the best items.

Zam rocks! It's my *go to* for any info for games I play. Just never thought to sign up till I saw this advertised. Glad for the prompt.

I'd love a VIP key to Rift, been watching it since March or so this year. The newsletter came out today, hope everyone is subscribed to it, always has lots of new information. Issue #5 is live.

I love the customization that Rift offers us. So many games end up with cookie cutter characters. Imagine being able to attune a total of three souls at max level? To me it says hey, play this game cause you won't get bored. So much is offered that it makes me dizzy. Not being locked into one role is awesome! I'm a DPS class but you know those ranged mobs need to be taken out and fast! Oh switch to my ranged soul. Or hey, I need some heals and quick, yep, you got it, switch to my healing soul. I mean how much better can it get. An ******* of abilities to utilize. Anyway, that's just one of my excitements about this game. I really really can't wait!!

So what do you like the most about the game? Would love to hear from others. :)

Oh I forgot to mention I have been a beta tester in the past. Aion and Lotro. I tend to specialize my concerns on a class. I'm a healer at heart, I do it well wherever I play and so I try to mesh out what's wrong or right with the class but I don't have tunnel vision. I will also keep a keen eye out for everything else in my surrounds. I love trying new things, trying to break things and I love stress tests! Some people get so frustrated with them but me, I just laugh and enjoy the ride.

Also, I love to write, been doing it for years so the lore is quite important to me. So far it looks fantastic but what we are seeing now is the hype and when in game it can change. It really has to flow, to engage the player enough that they want to move onward to the next chapter that will unfold. And watch your sentence structure and spelling cause I do!

So there, that is how I like to test for the most part.

I just cant wait! RIFT looks like exactly the answer I was looking for to my boredom that's grown caused by other mmorpgs. Think of some other games as your training grounds for a REAL game with REAL choices. That's what RIFT looks like to me!

I love MMO's and have been playing since Everquest. I've applied for a TON of beta's, doing the contests, joining the sites, and so on and so forth, and never gotten one invite. I'm not holding out to much hope here, but **** this looks like an incredible game that I would love to try, wether its in Beta or upon release. So it can't hurt to try.

HERE HERE Moelester.

Welcome all new comers to this thread and these forums, as one of the lucky 1rst round winners let me just say you can indeed win a vip pass here.

Like moelester I came here for a vip code and found a great bunch of people to hang with and chat with.

Remember if you get into the game these are the people you will be playing with in the testing phase, and most likely in the full release. These are the people you want to be nice to and have fun with.

SO go forth post and have fun.

I have limited experience in testing mmos and somehow managed to make it into the lotro closed beta which was my first mmo. But I have a fresh opinion on mmos and what I'm looking for is beyond the surface. lotro didn't have it and aion didn't have it and I'm not too interested in past releases and am waiting for 2011. I would enjoy the opportunity to get a taste of the next "wow killer" and be able to make my prediction about whether or not it will from good information.

yeah, I'm signed up for the regular keys, but I would love to get a VIP key if I can. I'm so looking forward to this, even if my comp might not be able to handle it. At least I can borrow CoreenHipae's to play if my poor, old comp can't handle it.

As a broke college student who in almost a year of looking hasn't been able to find a job, well, I must say the future of getting a new comp isn't looking very bright for me. Mine is 3 1/2 years old, heat-damaged, the CD drive doesn't work, and I just discovered the left speaker seems to be gone, not to mention being on my 4th power cord for it. It wasn't the greatest comp to start with. Just the one my dad managed to talk me into getting because he didn't think I should be able to play games on it. I manage some games, but as time goes on, that becomes more and more of a challenge, especially with my comp's overheating problems.

I have high hopes for this game, hoping it will give out more than the usual MMOs. So many are the same basic concept with just a different set of graphics and backstory. From all I can see, it's looking like this one will give me what I'm looking for. So excited to see what happens and so hoping to get in on the VIP beta keys.

I am interested in a key as well ; )

It is great to see that Rift is generating plenty of buzz. This looks like a unique game that will finally offer a satisfying MMORPG experience. I've been a part of a few betas, most recently FFXIV, and let me tell you that a successful and bug free launch is essential in this day and age of online gaming. Hope to contribute in this forum and have an opportunity to help Rift succeed as well!
