What is the one reason you to play Rift? (only one)
Soul Class System

In Star wars galaxy you could be a creature handler and also a be a Bio-Engineer. Bio-Engineer had the
ability to make new pets for the creature handler. They would get blood form NPC animals and mixed them up. It was great you could make some uber pets..

It basically gave you the freedom....so many games give you a box and tell you that is what you are...
and if you want to change it either no , give us more money or re-roll.. I like idea I have control over my toon.

The soul system gives me this freedom.

The games primary focus is pve endgame, pvp is secondary.

Most of the games in the past 4 years have all focused on pvp and failed miserably- Aion, AoC, War.

For me it is (hopefully) the new element Rifts and the dynamic that comes with it. I have had it with the point to point MMO's without any dynamic element in the game.

PvP,

I really hope that they have been able to balance the faction based PvP.

Lineage 2 did a very good job of open world pvp, I have not been able to see any company get close to that experience with faction based.

Between Pvp and Endgame hmm. I'd have to say Pvp as long as the rewards are worth it.

If I'm limited to one reason...
the ascended soul system - I want to beta test how unique and relevant my individual character will be with everyone having so many options and so much open-ended freedom. I want to make sure that there will be real character identity even with the ability to morph your toon so completely and on the fly.

I know that this sounds a bit cliché but pretty much the whole look and atmosphere is what interests me so much in the game.

The visuals are mind blowing, the Rift system is very original and looks awesome, the unigue class customization system looks and sounds fantastic. I just can't wait to try it all out.

I don't really have 1 reason...but if I were to get really picky it would probably be the dynamic nature of the rifts

Definitely the class system.

As I stated elsewhere it reminds me of the mud I previously played and I very much loved it them, and I expect to love it now.

The class/soul system

Having the open ended choices is a HUGE draw for me. RIFT has given me the one thing I've been looking for for a long time - the chance to really customize my character the way I want!

The soul system. It would be impossible (nearly) to get bored with such a diverse system.

My one reason is this. I am hoping that Rift does not make the mistake that WoW currently is making. They have taken the Massively out of MMO. It is so easy to get into a group, get into a dungeon, then pop out after it's over right back to where you were that there is no sense of community. You don't even have to talk to people any more. Go to towns in WoW now-a-days and it's so empty. It's all about getting loot and being the strongest character you can. I miss the socializing that used to be in MMO's. I'm afraid that Rift is going to go this route, but I hope not.

The concept of invasions is pretty awesome. Imagine running around gathering mats and all of a sudden the ground and sky change and mobs from the plane of water are upon you. No other MMO offers that.

I'm gonna hafta go with the rifts and the whole user involvement concept. It's refreshing to see a game that gives you so many things to do other than just LOOT.GEAR.LVLS.MORE LOOT.

Definitely the soul system allowing you to adjust your character to best fit what is needed in a group as opposed to someone saing 'Sorry we are looking for a bard/ rogue/ ranger / etc'. Granted this won't automatically grant the person the same skill level as someone who plays that particular build exclusively, but it does give more options. My one concern is how many sets of gear will be needed to have 'optimal' gear for each saved build.

It's hard to choose just one. I guess the soul system is what I'm looking forward to most.
