Well, first of all, I thought it would be a great idea to summarize a little introduction about yourself, in order to know each other a bit.

I'll go first. Hi everybody, I'm Rave and I'm from Spain. I've been playing MMOs for almost 6 years and I love them, specially the "fantasy-styled" ones. I've also tried out Star Wars and EVE, and Black Prophecy's BETA, but I'm not into sci-fi style. I've played tones of MMOs, such as WoW, GW, Evq II, UO, AoC, WAR, Allods, LOTRO, Archlord, etc. Both P2P and F2P. I really enjoy playing them, but I don't usually "role" as if I were my character, but I respect people who loves that, because I have some friends whose love to.

Finally, Ingame I am a tough PvP person. I love factions and Outdoor PvP, as well as rated ladder Arenas. But I also like to join a raid or a party for questing with other people. I like Spellcaster classes, specially hybrids, between damage dealers and healers. I don't like archers or warriors at all, nor "rogues" :P

Nice to meet you everybody :)

Okie, I'll bite. (But not too hard.)

Hi, I'm WildeNight. I'm an American (should be said in your head all hick-like.)
I've been playing MMORPG's since 1999. EQ, DAoC, SWG, EQ2, LotRO, Vanguard, STO.

I co-lead a RP guild that has been around since 1998 in EQ. I like both PvE and PvP, but probably PvE more. I seem to end up always playing healers or tanks since I am apparently masochistic... and enjoy the mantle of responsibility. Heh. I am a gamer chick, and proud of it.

And yes, I am one of those... roleplayers. I blame tabletop games and LARPing for the need to do that in every game I play. I am also a lore junkie. If the game has lore and it's written well, that is 1/3 the reason I want to play it.

Okay I will jump in too.

I am Coreen Hipae, or Hikaru Najumi depending on which one I want to go by. I am American West Coast here.

I have been playing MMOs for oh good lord I don't know how long its been a good ten year or more. I have done a lot of text based role playing via forums back in the day and well as some table top. As far as MMOs go I am willing to try anything once. I tend to stay way from P2Ps actually because I am a poor sucker and don't have the money for the sub fee.

I have played a great many of games in my day and have beta tested quit a number in this last year.

I generally play a caster or a tanker, I like to be able to handle dam and have a high dps.
Or I enjoy playing a spellsword. A good caster with the ability to put out a good amount of dam and heal as well.

I'm Kado or Vendi, depends on if either one is taken.

I've been playing MMOs since FFXI. I played that for about 2.5 years and stopped. Switched over to WAR and then to AION. Played both of them for about a year. I'm an american currently stationed in Okinawa, Japan. Oh yea I beta test FFXIV but was very disappointed and hence not playing it. I can be a hardcore player or a leisurely player depending on my mood and how busy work keeps me.

Hail Friends!

I have gone by many names in my 10+ year mmo career. most long term toons were Arthurious, Tombom, Moelester, and Goodsir. I RP lightly (just enough to annoy powergamers) and am first and foremost about the pvp. Ive most heavily played EQ, Darkfall, some Wow. Lotro, Warhammer, Knight Online. and a few other lame F2ps from the glorious east. EQ classic is hands down the greatest gaming experiance ive ever had and I'm hoping Rift can match that if not shatter it. Although i do love the ganks that dosnt mean im not down to run some dungeons are jump around in circles with some pals, play for fun, and be the best at it.

good to meet you all, loving this community.

PS if your defiant on a pvp server watch your back <Tear Jerkers> on the prowl yall Fear the Tear 2011

hey,

I haven't been playing MMO's for that long. I did play wow and other F2P MMO's very occasionally for longer, but my first serious MMO was Aion. It was there I joined my current guild Precept. Because of this guild I learned a lot about MMo's in different aspects in a short time. Anyways I played a templar for 4 months and than I followed the others of the guild (that left long before me)to WoW. There I played a hunter and a druid. I'm not joining WoW in the expansion. I would rather focus on Rift. My plans for Rift are to play a rogue. I'll propably play a ranger or Marksman, altough a saboteur looks interesting to try too.

So that's it

Hello,

I'm from SE USA. I've been into rpg's nearly my entire life. Of course as children nearly everyone is a role player. I did a lot of table top, although I never got into figurine stuff for like warhammer. I started my online gaming on Text based muds, and then switched to other things. I've always loved the rpgs like the Final Fantasy's and Quest 64 and Kotors. I started my MMO's with WoW quickly went Shaman Spriest warrior hunter rogue and then I finally settled on mage. Was my first 60, 70, and 80. I've piddled around on FFXI, Eve, and SWG but they weren't fully my cup of tea. I beta tested WAR and I absolutely loved every minute of that. It was fun reporting things and then seeing them fixed. Unfortunately the game changed a lot right before release and failed.

I'm currently Mage Class Leader of my guild in wow even though I haven't logged into the game in forever. I still keep up with the changes and I'm still the best mage in the guild so they haven't taken it from me. I don't believe any of my guild will join me here and I have no intentions of buying Cata even though I have beta tested that extensively and enjoyed it, I'm just ready for something different.

As far as a player, I tend to figure out ways to push more out of my class than others can. With that said I'm by no means perfect I make stupid mistakes occasionally. I prefer PVE and I expect every person I group with to be competent and I get frustrated when I'm disappointed.

I love fantasy genre I'm an Avid fan of RA Salvatore's works as well as pretty much anything set in that sort of world. I enjoyed Christopher Paolini's Inheritance Cycle and Kaleb Nation's Bran Hambric books.

Might as well do this finally,

Usually play as Grem in game or something along those lines. 26 Live in IL and *shocker* i like country music :) haha flame on about that. Been playing MMOs since EQ basically played all the "mainstream" ones at some point and even beta tested the likes of Vanguard, Age of Conan, EQ2, and WoW I usually play a caster or healer depending on what is needed or really grabs me so we will see what i end up with. I really like a server with a good community so that's one of the main things I'm hoping for with Rift.

Long time listener, first time caller...
My main character is Chandrian. I am 34 and live in the San Francisco area. I grew up playing Dungeons and Dragons with my Aunt, Uncle, Father, their two best friends, two older brothers and two cousins. The kids were allowed to start at 12.

I stared with Mud's on bbs's and have been playing MMO's since Ultima Online. I can't even remember when I played my first computer game, but it was young. I'm always a healer, but sporadically play rogues and tanks on the side. I was a hardcore raider and PvP'er for quite a while, but stopped about 2 years ago, and now I am just play casually. I still log a lot of hours in MMO's, but 80% of the time it's PvE.

Guess that's it. I hope to see you people on. We should try to start a Zam guild later in the beta when and if it's available.
