Raid ContentFollow

Hello all,

Anybody have information about raids, we know that groups are formed by 5 players so raid will be 20,25,30 people?.
How many raid instancied are going to be?. As you know some games failed in the past because pepople level very quick arrived to high level content kill all it, and then leave the game, so in my opinonis is very importan to keep hardcorians busy at same time that have content for causals gamers.

there will be raids of 10 and/or 20 people at launch.
You have them on normal and experienced level.

one of them will be a dragon boss (onyxia WoW style)
and a raid with 10 bosses

I will copy nice info I found in Telarapedia about instances, maybe it will help you.

Instances are special areas in Rift: Planes of Telara where your group or raid party is able to interact with a dungeon (or other 'area') privately; that is, without interference from other parties or raids.

* Most of the game will not be instanced[1] and can be traveled across seamlessly without seeing a load screen[2], with only dungeons and high-level raids being a definite possibility for instanced areas.[3] The server technology also allows for instances to change over time depending on player actions.[4]
* There will be both group and private instances.[5]
* There will be instances at end-game with different sizes. 5, 10 and 20. [6]
* Some instances, such as Deepstrike Mines "scale" to some degree. If you come back at a later level, you will have a different experience.[7]
o Every dungeon will have 2 versions, a normal one for its original level and an expert version that expands the story and is intended for level cap. For level 50 instances, the expert version would be what is referred to as 'heroic' in some other games.[8]
* Raid instances will have lock out timers
* Standard difficulty dungeons do not have a lockout, and can be reset immediately, Expert difficulty will be on a daily lock out timer. [9]
* Rifts can appear in dungeons. [10]

I think there will be 10 and 20 man raid instances, and looks a very similar system like wow has now in Lich King.
Im looking all days for new info about pve raids but atm there aren't a lot of info about it.

I foresee being at the last boss and a rift appearing over you. I like the whole concept of that because you could really come out with some good loot on an epic run. Wonder if they are going to limit the number of rifts that can appear in the dungeons.

I'm hoping they don't make the same mistake Funcom made with Age of Conan. The beginning area was very well done but things started to go wrong later in progression. Crafting was terrible and the end game was utterly broken. Basic things like raid groups didn't work and you often had to mess around for an hour just to get your raid groups into the same dungeon instance, then once you started clearing the trash mobs would constantly reset. Even if you were lucky enough to engage the boss, those mobs would bug out and became unkillable. After many nights of 4 wasted hours most of the progression raiders quit the game. That was the beginning of the end and tons of other subscribers followed.

As Silbidos suggested, the lesson is that a surprising large number of people that will fast track to level cap and want to start end game and the end game better be ready at the get go. Developers don't have the luxury of having a year to finish the promises made at release. How well the raid content is implemented from the onset is critical to the success of the game.

Having played conan since launch i do hope Rift stays away from that road and doesn't release a game with broken raid content and then never really fix it. I can see it maybe not being a top priority at launch but just so i know they are working on making it better after that is all i would like. Conan really left a bad taste in my mouth with raids but when they were working i enjoyed raiding in conan a lot.

Dragons are ok but I hope to see something more original than only dragons, I say to may dragons in the past. I want to see something that impacts me, something really big and original.

I hope not all the raids will be WOW style.And would be very nice to see rifts that appears in dungeons! :D
