Hi,

I will play that game with my wife and some friends and we talked about with classes will be the better for leveling together we dont really want to level very quik but will like a compesate group that can succeed in the game. We thought about beeing : Reaver Assasin Bard Shaman and other healer type or mage, beacuse we dont really know if one healer will be enough for hard encounters, What do you think is the best configuration?

I think it all comes down to play style and just finding what works for what you are trying to do. I usually like to run a group with a main tank and off tank for adds esp if its a dungeon type run or if you know one tank can do just fine then stack up maybe two healers. Like i said it will come down to personal choice and even whose looking for a group at that time.

In one of the most recent podcasts, one of the developers mentioned that groups consisting only of rogues could theoretically complete instances. I think has point was that any group of skilled players can successfully complete the content. Besides, without knowing more extensive details about each class it would be difficult to say at the moment which configuration would work best.

That means 1 of 2 things, either they messed up and dungeons are too easy or those rouges were several levels higher than the dungeon required.

Going to have to agree with Kin on that one it might be cool to have a group like that at some point but for the harder stuff i would like to see a healer and tank needed at least.

I'm sure you won't be able to do anything remotely difficult without at least some kind of healer. Tanks are another matter, but that's a discussion for another day.

In response to OP read a bit more about the game bud, those classes you named are good but so are another 2 or 3 you could use too. IMO don't make someone full bard in a small group situation especially for lvling.

I hope isnt true that a group of only scouts can complete a normal dungeon, because then this game is not for me.

It seems to me that the devs will need to walk a fine line between making the content too hard for players who like easy content and too easy for those wanting a more hardcore experience. Either group will quit the game if they don't get what they need from the content.

I expect that most content up to raids will be completable with a group comprised of classes fulfilling secondary roles rather than their primary, a chloromancer as healer for instance and clerics as DD. I would find such to be refreshing as it allows a player to explore some of the often unused secondary skills of a character. I do, however, wish for difficult content to drive players to really know their classes and work hard to defeat, whether such is mainly raids or a few higher level dungeons.

I've always enjoyed taking an untraditional group config and doing content with it. My favorite so far was the Shadowknight + 4 Warlocks and 1 Wizard in EQ2. SK pulled, mages unloaded, dead creature in microseconds. Now, we couldn't do the even level and harder stuff, but it was definitely fun to hit up lower content dungeons with that group.
