This thread was only made to ask a simple question, and can be deleted when I get an answer...

What is the Scholar title for? And how did I get it? Thanks.

I assume this holds the key to the title conundrum.

Here to let you know how you got scholar rank, if you see under that the "Score:Decent" that is the score your forum profile has, once it reaches a good level you recieve a nice rank, get a higher score and you may receive a nicer title. This mechanic is around as a public-run indicator of users hard work to help to community and to show those who do harm to it. (but mainly for good)

How to change score?
How to improve your score is by the green and red arrows at the top right of the post. If someone clicks the green a small invisible number increases, the more different people clicks the green arrow the more your score goes up. You can give someone a green arrow to improve thir score if they
* Post something thats a great read
* informative
* helpful
* or just plain nice to others.
you can give anyone one for any reason but the point is to tell who's a troll and whos helpful and nice.

Click the red arrow if you read a post and it is
* unhelpful
* insulting
* selling in-game money (their super evil!!!)
* Trolling the forums
or anything that doesnt help and hurts the community

if their score gets too low they may get a temp-ban.

Your score will also change more slowly the more posts you have or the less people improve your rating.

There are titles that get higher than Scholar, lets see who can find them. I allways rate up peoples comments that follow the common sense of helping the community.

P.S you must be signed in and at least a scholar to rate peoples posts.

The Other titles
Not only do you have to have a good score but a score count needs to be good. this makes it harder to reach the higher level of titles an example would be (green coloured title)

USERNAME
Sage
(5 stars here)
6,714 posts
Score: Good

I believe to reach your first star you need at least a 50 post count

It says nothing about any titles, but I guessed the karma rating tied into the account title since I have seen no evidence of karma rating titles or other benefits elsewhere.

*edit: written before explained

Do you have a wiki page or FAQ page that explains the title gain and score gain rules?

I also have no green or red arrows, is it only availible to people that have a pay account? Does posting in topics ranked higher than decent help increase your rank? or can it only be increased by other users?

I think you have to have someone who is already a scholar like your posts to give you good feedback because i could not see the arrows until i became a scholar.
