Hey guys, ;)
This thread just popped in my site tracking, just wanted to pitch in here and say that the project is still very much alive. The build on rift-calculator.com is horribly out-dated though since then I added a ton of extra stuff such as ability db / soul profiles / guild profiles and revamped the soul calculator from scratch to provide a better user experience.

I hope to publish a new build somewhere early next year as a test run and to display some of the tools I have in mind. But RIFT release is still a bit off so I want to wait with that for now.

Regards,
Kalbuir

Hello Kalbuir!

The site looks great, I can't wait for the calculator to be up and running with ingame data.

Just to mention guys there is a notice on their site saying.

The souls currently available in the soul-calculator do not resemble the souls in-game in any way..

so I wouldn't recommend to take the information to heart on the site until the NDA is removed.

I absolutely love talent calculators, but I don't want to waste my time using out-of-date and incomplete data.

Hey Kalbuir,

It's good to see people taking notice of your hard work beyond the official forums where you've been a star for a while now.

I'm looking forward to when you get things implemented (and are allowed to release everything when the NDA is lifted), as I see it being the go-to site for building souls, which will be sorely needed by the sound of it with so many combinations possible.

And there's still the gamescon reporting on the site, which is an interesting read.

this is the first game I have seen with a talent calculator being built during the beta... Even WoW had awful calculators in beta, this one's got everything but the data!! Great Work!

Thanks for the link. The other calc I found wasn't nearly as helpful.

oops, guess I should say as helpful looking as its a placeholder I now see.

A tool like this will be amazing once we get closer to launch, the NDA is lifted, and all the skills are out on the table. Thanks for your work.

Looks awesome, can't wait to see the finished product. The other good one that is up atm is riftrolebuilder.com, with as much soul data as possible from public sources loaded into it. Gives a good general idea for most of the classes that have been shown in gameplay demos and promo videos, and aren't described yet on rift's website.

this will see very much use after release im sure. with so much variety of option, i think people will come up with some very interesting stuff very quickly. we just have to hope that many of those strange combinations are viable. =P
