Urban Dictionary states 'trolling' as:

"Trolling is trying to get a rise out of someone. Forcing them to respond to you, either through wise-crackery, posting incorrect information, asking blatantly stupid questions, or other foolishness. However, trolling statements are never true or are ever meant to be construed as such. Nearly all trolled statements are meant to be funny to some people, so it does have some social/entertainment value."

Now you know.....and knowing is half the battle!

Good rule of thumb to any forum discussion is don't say something you wouldn't to a stranger you just met in real life. In the gaming community we've become very lax or have this alternate persona that it's okay to say or do whatever without repercussion. I think there has to be balance and you are held accountable for your actions. (I.E. Ban the gold farmers account or the moron spamming trade constantly to antagonize the majority of the game players) then you will have less spam and gold farmers.

Constructive Criticism and Intelligent Debate are always welcome.

I try to treat everyone on the internet the same as I do in real life. I don't think hiding behind an anonymous internet persona is healthy or appropriate. Especially since the world is quite small now-days. You never know who you will run into.

I know, he already has a statement of intention up on eq2flames. There are a few conditions that need to be met before it would be launched though(It being needed essentially).

Interestingly enough, riftflames.com redirects you to eq2flames already.
