Lol this is how I felt as soon as I got my invite to the first event, but I'm trying to suppress the feeling for now for fear of not being invited to the after party and being really sad.

Shrug. If I get in, then great (and I love to analyze and test things, am a nerd like that). But if not, I'll live. And at least the whole newbie experience won't be ruined, right? ;)

Way to stay positive there popsicle, but I'm with username, well kinda. I'm trying not to get too excited, but I can't wait to play some more and see the Guardian side, It'll be a devastating weekend if I don't get in. Then again, I'll be trying my hardest for a VIP key all week, I'm sure we'll see more than a few opportunities this coming week.

Way to stay positive yourself! :P

If I get in, I'll be happy because I'll get to test the game. If I don't get in, I'll still be happy because then at least at launch the newbie experience will be fresh and new.

Either way, it's win-win! =D

I'm more excited about the pvp testing weekend. If I don't get in that weekend I'll like totally go hyperbole and act as if the world is ending! /emo

I don't care too much for pvp, fun to do occasionally but I couldn't play full time on a pvp server.

Ugh I don't even want to think about the pvp event man... I loved the first event so much that I didn't take a single step outside all weekend. If I get into the guardian event I'm sure it won't be so bad because most of what I was doing was trying to play as many of the souls as possible, but jesus, pvp weekend will be *so* much worse.

I probably won't sleep.

You're definitely not the only one. Funny thing is that i'm far more curious about whether or not my performance issues last time were part of the game or based on some else like codecs or drivers. I'd like to play but its second to my need to know why I had some random problems.

I thought king moe was king of his domain, the basement. Btw, it's wintertime in seattle, not a bunch of sun going on out there anyways ;)

All hail Tyler my new favorite poster. Stay vigilant my Kinght, many seek to dethrone me and we must stay strong in these cold winter months.

@quorwyf-- They said they saw memory leaks at the start of first phase but they patched them half way through or something like that. Personally I had no problems the whole time, but after a few patches I saw things get even smoother. Did you still have the same bugginess towards the end of the event?

And @moe, the basement-dweller zingers really aren't witty anymore. Some of us are mil vets, going to school full time on the GI Bill, in a happy and long-term relationship, and still love few things in this world more than spending an entire day or even weekend in the chair.

To be honest, I won't play much this weekend and I am pretty oke with it. Got study to do and for me the time cannot go slow enough :p. So much to learn and the time is ticking away last days.

Will play for a couple hours late at night but got other stuff to do as well. Enjoy a big apre ski party (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apr%C3%A8s-ski; I doubt people outside europe know what it is in the Netherlands) with friends goes above Rift for me for sure.

@335- My main problem was the intro movie having this extreme stutter to it. It played at maybe 1 fps. I heard later that it was possibly a codec problem so i'd like to see if a codec change matters. Aside from that no issues that weren't shared by others.

Yeesh, that's rough. Couldn't you two have worked out some sort of time-share deal? Like, you sleep all day and make dinner for her / breakfast for you when you get up and take over when she goes to bed? That's what I would have done...

And if I got one of those typical 'but i wanna see u :(' replies, I would have tried my best to explain how a weekend of strong teamwork can strengthen a relationship much more than just seeing each other same as we always do would.

Prob wouldn't have worked. But I'da tried. Hope you did too.

Haha.. actually it was a reply of 'You can play it if you want, I will go play something else' with a sad look :)

We enjoy playing together actually, it's more fun than solo.. she did get to 20 I think so at least she said she tried to win me a video card LOL..

Would be fun to get a pair of VIP keys, or if we both get in, either way lol

im really excited about playing the game, but i think its helpful to remember that it is a beta test, and that we should devote at least part of our playtime to that xD

Yeah just got my VIP pass, very excited. Will be posting lots and lots of feedback in game, and I hope others do too! Making this a working, successful MMO has a lot to do with player feedback as well, so if you do get in, please give your feedback whether you like something, dislike it, and of course if any bugs happen. (On the necessary forums of course!) The more detailed and constructive feedback we give, the better they can make the game for us.

It is funny how we get all wound up when a game goes into beta and then the days get really long. Then one day the game has been released for a month and you are surprised how crazy you were over Beta keys :

****, pizza sounds good. But what I really want is the NDA to be lifted so we can get some real discussion going. Just realized, that's why these forums are lacking in content, there's not a lot to talk about right now. And I'm guessing NDA won't be lifted for a while.

I too am eagerly awaiting the lift of the NDA. That way maybe the forums will go from speculation on the physical appearance of characters and plans on how to dispose of the kids during a beta weekend to actual discussions about the potential of the game...

I was really pumped up until earlier today when a friend who put no effort into getting a beta key, got just that. (He registrered and that was pretty much it :(...)

I'm still trying and hoping that I'll get a beta key somehow, somewhere, before the full release, but I know I won't be pumped up again as I was until I actually have the key in my possession this time. Though when that'll happen (It must happen O.O) I'll go crazy with happiness! <3
