There are also people, not botters, that simply have all the windows open and ready to go. Still sucks, though.
I don't like how they post keys and make them up for grabs. Too easy for botters or sellers to snag extra keys. Instead, I don't get why they don't do what I've now seen them finally doing and winners supply their username, and the key is applied to their account. Way less chance of exploiting the system or grabbing extra keys to sell.
Of course, that means more work for the CS team. And sadly, just about every decision made in relation to mmorpgs these days can directly be traced back to whether the company will save money or not. I know it's just a business, but at some point when your business loses the sort of passion and spark, and seems all about business, the business becomes less appealing.
I get that contests and applying codes takes more time and money, but imo it's worth it, as it's far more fairer to the community, and also simply more fun. The caption contests are great and build actual community interaction. Have fans DO something for the keys, not just race to the trough like hungry pigs.
