Who agrees that Rift should have something along the lines of the world fort take overs? Those were really fun in my opinion..

Negative. I preferred Aion forts, and they were mostly unplayable stop-motion videos for me. The best mass PvP I've seen in a game was L2 Castle Sieges.

no, i agree. those world PvP objectives and public quests were what made WAR fun . . . for a little while. they screwe up in that gam,e but that was not the part they did wrong.

I only played WAR for a few months, but taking the forts was really the only part that kept me playing for that long. Joining a warband and then zerging between forts was crazy fun. The only problem I had with it was I played destro and half the time I'd log on and we would own all the zones up to 30 and there was almost nothing to do.

the forts that they had to take out because they were crashing the server?

or do you mean keep sieges? keep sieges are awesome. Centralized fort fights, while cool in principle, can quickly get out of hand, performance-wise.

Yeah i agree, eventhough it was really fun in WAR it involved some serious performance issues. I'm sure with the technology it will only get better though :)

Yeah, I think the most memorable thing was storming the keeps and messing up other sieges.

If there were WAR-like keep seiges (or a similar mechanic) in Rift, along with the ability to easily make open parties or convert parties into raids/warbands, I could die happy.
