After playing EVE-Online for over 5 years I decided it is time to give another MMO a try. How epic do you think this game will be?

Honestly I think this game is going to be great, and that is just from what I've seen online as I did not participate in the first beta, hoping to get to try this one out and have an official opinion on it.

Thus far all the classes sound great, I love alot of the concepts I've at least gotten to read about on the site and other places around the web.

Really excited to see how the Rogue characters play out, it will actually be the first game where it was my starting class type. Which should be interesting in itself.

If you enjoyed playing EVE I think you're going to have a hard time finding a game that will satisfy you. EVE is a pretty unique game.

Although, if any game would satisfy you maybe this game would since they are pushing the whole dynamic world aspect of the game which should be at least somewhat similar to what EVE does.

Yeah, that is one of the reasons I want to play this game. I think this will live up to what I have read and researched on it.

The only thing I've found that is really comparable to EvE is Perpetuum, but like Mortal Online, it is currently a pay to play beta in my opinion.

Don't get me wrong the 10 guys did a great job developing it thus far, the GM's actually logon and talk to people ingame, and the forums.

They go to great lengths to restore robots/items when their are connections issues etc.

But as far as stability and a feature set it still has alot to go in my opinion and I currently have 3 accounts in it.

But beyond that, if you liked EvE and are looking for a change give it a shot, it's only a 10$ charge for a month and the client is free. And you might just decide it's for you.

I really do need to get out more. I have never heard of Perpetuum, and that game looks well done. I will give this game a try first. If I like it I will end up sticking with it for a long time, but Perpetuum is really making me think of playing two MMOs at the same time.

If I recall correctly they have a form of trial going on for a couple dollars.

I'm not 100% certain of that but heres the website just incase.

I have high hopes for this, although nothing will be able to unseat WoW. Fine with me though since you can still have success with a good MMO as long as you listen to the players. *pray*

So very true, with the listening to players comment.

As far as WoW.. I'm not even sure a nuclear holocaust would stop it.

I played it for years, and after that I simply cannot stand it.

If an Eve player is getting excited about Rift, then maybe I should take a look at it too.
