So D2D is giving me an issue with trying to make the RIFT CE pre-order. So I figured while someone their works out my issue I'd make a list of site that I know that are selling RIFT as a digital download, their price (for CE, as CE comes with all the goods of normal preorder) and the benefits from buying from said site. Normal price is $49.99 for peeps who do not (or can not) want to spend another $10.

Rift's main site for pre-order can be found here.

$ 59.99 for CE.
The goods:
* Shrouded Sourcestone Rune: Grants +3 Endurance and +10 Death Resist.
* Companion Pet: Each character you create can choose from one of three unique pets (see below in steam for list).
* Beta Access: Play in the remaining beta events.
* Head Start Access: Play the game before it hits store shelves.
* Complimentary Game Time: Thirty (30) days of subscription service for new accounts.
* Collector’s Satchel: Increase the size of your primary backpack to 24 slots.
* Ancient Tartagon Mount: Available at level 20, this two-headed turtle mount increases your speed by 60%.
* Bogling Wastrel: This mischievous, Collector’s Edition-only pet sets you apart from the other Ascended.

Rift via Steam can be found here.

$ 59.99 for CE.
The goods:
*Steam Exclusive pre-order item: Blazing Sourcestone Rune Weapon Enchantment.
*in-game pets: Cockatrice Chick, Deep One Spawnling or Hellhound Pup (Same for all sites)
* Ancient Tartagon Mount: Available at level 20, this turtle mount increases player speed by 60%
* Collector’s Satchel: Increases the size of your primary backpack to 24 slots
* Bogling Wastrel: This unique pet sets you apart from the other Ascended

Rift via Gamestop can be found here:

$ 59.99 for CE

The goods:
All the Stuff said above in the Steam section
***If you pre-order in the store, you get the CE box that comes with a Mouse Pad, a Wall poster map, a Comic Book, a Reminder KeyBind card, an 8GB USB Flash drive

Rift via D2D can be found here.

$ 59.95 for CE

The Goods:
Same as Steam, however:
D2D is the only site other the the Main RIFT site that says you get early bird head start.
***Visit this thread and a few have posted a link for a 20% discount that will work on the pre-order of RIFT CE. So your total goes from $59.95 to $47.96.

So here are my thoughts for the current going deals.
D2D has the best deal. If you use one of the promo codes, the person's link you used, it gets them $10. You save $10, they get $10.
All the other sites are giving the same bag, enchant, vanity pets, etc.
BUT.
Complimentary Game Time: Thirty (30) days of subscription service for new accounts.
This only shows up in one place, and that is from pre-ordering from the main site. If you are someone who is not planning on using their Founder’s Pricing (a payment plan that if you set up before March 15th [iirc] and pay 3/6months at a time, you save MORE per month) a free 30Days of play before an actual Charge could be nice.
I only saw the 30day free time at the main site's page. It may actually be part of all purchases at all sites. I do not know 100%. Most MMOs do give some kind of free time.

Other info:
If you pre-order through wal-mart, you get Shambler Hatchling Pet over the Rune Weapon. It is kind of ugly, but I'm sure there are/will be vanity pet hoarders. You can see a pic of it here, it is found a little ways down the page.

Errr, what? The 30 days game time is for all preorders. What exactly are your problems with D2D? After I bought the game via D2D, I followed the link from the email to my D2D account, where after clicking "download" I was taken to a page that contained my game key. I then entered that key on my Trion account page, and chose a subscription plan (wouldn't let me enter the key without doing so, even though it won't charge me until my 30 free days are up), at which point it showed me all the info associated with my preorder, including the 30 free days.

edit: I'm also pretty sure all preorders get the early bird head start.

D2D doesn't want to take my credit card lol.
I talked to the Customer service for a bit, they think it is due to my current version of Firefox...
My email from them wrote:
Please note that FireFox 4 and Internet Explorer 9 are currently not supported.

So tomorrow if I get a chance I'll try it on IE -.-
(I didn't even know there was a Firefox 4...mines up-to-date [or so i think] at v3.6.13)

The OP was more to show who had the best deal. D2D is the winner atm.

I'd advise if you enjoy using Firefox to upgrade to Chrome many of the features Chrome has are Firefox friendly. Mine worked with Chrome.
