For those of you who didn't know, there was an exploit recently discovered with Ruencrafting. Trion promptly disabled the skill and began work on a fix. What you may not know is that they started this yesterday, and it still has not been re-enabled. If you notice players running through majors cities screaming in tongues, solicitations to sell you geography, or any sort of general nonsense, then do not be alarmed. These players have merely gone insane from lack of inventory slots. As for me, I, and myself, we thought thought we'd would launch a dance assault on sanctum from all three sides.

Dear Trion, please fix runecrafting soon.
Sincerely, Allegory's bag slots.

I heard it had something to do with buyback? Anyone know what happened exactly?

What you could do is sell an item to a vendor and immediately start runebreaking it, causing both events to occur. You would sell the item to the vendor and still get the mats from runebreaking it. I assume you could also buy it back and start the process again.

Also, since salvaging is similar in process and the actual fix isn't too hard, I assume Trion is doing far more than merely fixing this one glitch. I suspect they're doing either of both of the following: running more tests on runebreaking and crafting to examine for any more potential exploits, tracking down those who exploited the glitch and rolling back what they did.

If they were just going to fix the one glitch, it would have been done by now.

I'm, at 140 Runebreaking out of the 150 I need to start breaking the gear around my level. So I had just crafted a grip of leather and cloth items from outfitter to get mats. Needless to say my bank is totally bursting now.

I had to vendor a bunch of greens yesterday because I just didn't have the bag space for them. A lot of them were soulbound pieces that I had recently upgraded so I couldn't mail them off to my alt, and I didn't want to pay for any more bag slots in my bank because I was closing in on 50 with barely enough plat for my epic mount and training.

In my case, it's not the end of the world. I have enough composite cloth on my bank alt right now to make 100 pairs of composite shoes to runebreak for mats. It's more the OCD aspect of not wanting to vendor something that could serve a better purpose.

It's an irritant, but Trion has done well with fixes all through the beta events I took part in to now, so I'm sure there's a solid reason for the delay.

I've just been salvaging what I make. Great skill ups back at Outfitter, that's for sure!
