Pretty much subject says it all. I think I really made a bad choice when I went to choose my 2nd soul tree. I rolled a Guardian Rogue. My first choice was Ranger. When I got my 2nd choice for whatever reason I thought it would be a good idea to choose assassin because I could get stealth. Soon as I picked it I started to think about how as a ranger I focus on ranged attacks were assassin is going to be melee.

Tried asking in game chat and of course got not help. One person did say at lvl 13 I can change this? I am currently lvl 10. Is this true? I am thinking Id be alot better off to choose saboteur as a 2nd tree.

If I am stuck with it, any idea how bad this will effect me at end game? I know lvl 10 isn't real high but I hate to have to re-roll and start from scratch. Ranger class seems really fun (like a hunter on WOW using the combo point system rogues get).

For my 3 tradeskills I picked forage, butcher, and outfitter.

At level 13, run to Sanctum, talk to one of the soul quest givers and they'll send you on a quest to unlock the soul of their type.

Each quest is basically to go out and participate in a rift seal which will spawn an item in your bag. Use this item to spawn some soul and kill it to complete the quest. Return to the quest giver and he/she will unlock that soul for you.

Talk to a Rogue trainer and ask them to reset your souls (tiny amount of silver or gold). With 0/0/0 you can change your souls out.

Mazra's right. Do that at 13.

Pretty much until 13-15 level range, it doesn't much matter anyway if you royally screwed up your soul choices.

If you focus on questing all of your souls and start questing for them at level 13 (which is the minimum level to get the quests), you should have every rogue soul by level 15 very, very easily. Go to Sanctum, pick up quest. Go back out to Silverwood. Help close a rift. Click on item in quest tracker. Kill baddy that spawns. Go back to Sanctum, turn in quest for your shiny new soul, and pick up the next quest before you leave. Typically takes me about 60-90 minutes to get the other 5 souls for my calling.

Also, marksman would probably be a better pairing for your ranger than saboteur. Saboteur is a bloody brilliant soul, but you'll find that a lot of your abilities will be wasted. Marksman will compliment the ranged damage you're already doing with your gun/bow. Saboteur actually benefits more from good melee weapons than ranged ones.

Glad you found your answer. Like everyone says; the quests are easy to get and complete! I'm so glad the developers give all of us this option. It's one of the many reasons why I already love this game!!

I did the same thing as you did; unfortunately, I started my cleric over again right at around your level - and then came here and realized I could do the quest at level 13!

These forums offer so much great info - when we use them!! :)

Indeed, on both of my characters, I ran to Meridian and started picking up the soul quests as soon as I hit 13. Within a couple hours or so, I was just short of 15 and had unlocked all except the PVP souls (which I have no interest in anyways). Might take a little longer if you're particularly unlucky on rift spawns and getting to them in time though, but not too bad.
