Item tooltips for phpbb using BBcodeFollow

Howdy howdy =)

I've added the script to our site to allow us to use the tooltips on our forums by way of linking them. But has anyone designed or does anyone know of a mod that will allow their use by BBcode.

For example there are WoW mods out there that you can simply put [wow][/wow] or [item][/item] around an items name and it would show the tooltip for that item.

A rift example would be [item]Harbinger of Regulos[/item] would give you a hover over for that item, without having to do it by using [url] and finding the item url in the zam database first as the current method allows.

Anyone able to help?

Wiki syntax (which kinda-sorta resembles BBCode,) should probably work externally, though I've never tried it. Rift items have IDs that don't follow a set pattern, so they're more complicated even there.

Angsty is correct. Wiki reference would work but would land you on a Disambiguation page if there is more than one record matching that name.

so [item]Rugged Fabric[/item] would work if you make BBCode translate that as
