I'm thinking of buying rift and I don't want to get it just yet if my comp can't handle it. I know the min is Duo core at 2.0 ghz but I've played some other games before that have run fine below the min requirements. Here's my comp:

Minimum: Dual Core 2.0 GHz or better
You Have: 1.9 GHz

Minimum: 2 GB
You Have: 3.5 GB

Video Card
Minimum: NVIDIA GeForce FX 5900, ATI/AMD Radeon X300, Intel GMA X4500 or better
You Have: GeForce 9800 GT
Features: Minimum attributes of your Video Card
Required You Have
Video RAM 128 MB 2.5 GB
Hardware T&L Yes Yes
Pixel Shader version 2.0 4.0
Vertex Shader version 2.0 4.0

Sound Card

You should be fine. Rift is a bit CPU dependent, but with your ram and card you should be able to at least pull low settings without issue. Maybe higher, but low at least.

Honestly though, it's going to harder and harder to find games that work with any sort of smoothness with only a single core, especially a low end one.

Especially when it comes to mmos, as they generally use more resources to render the same graphics you'd have no problem with in a singleplayer game.
