While my Pali/VK/WL build is fun I've been thinking of experimenting with new tanking builds. Here's a WL/Paragon/VK I was playing with on the soul builder. Thoughts, comments?

To me it seems that you'd have to choose between using your Paragon abilities that utilize your 2 weapons and your Warlord/VK abilities that actually generate threat. Not sure if it will work, and I don't think it will be very efficient. That being said, I don't actually play a warrior so I could be wrong.

edit: Also, it seems like Rift Tap in VK would be useful.

So what I was thinking while building this is using Imposing on the pull with my paragon abilities the idea is that I can generate enough threat through damage dealing abilities plus the extra threat to get a good hold. Damage mitigation comes through the paragons parry and, although situational, Disarm form Weapon Blow and Wrist Strike, and Warlord's reduce in chance to hit.

As for Rift Tap, for me it's one of those abilities that looks good on paper but doesn't work out as well in-game. It only does 51 more damage than devouring blow (not including 140% weapon damage(so if you do more than 36 weapon damage you'll be doing more damage)) plus it generates packs (which can up damage of reckless strike and increase your strength and armor w/ Ravenous Strength and Ravenous Defense)

So i assume you are talking about tanking solo or on maybe some weak rifts? Because, no, i dont see how this would hold up against bosses in expert dungeons and beyond. If even in lower level dungeons.

It would not generate enough threat, and would certainly not have enough mitigation, making it fail in every way imaginable for a 'tank'.

my 2c.

Also, there's always Rogue's Riftstalker soul if you want to DW tank.

was looking at the talent tree for the paragon the other day and thought kind of the same thing to myself about the dual wield tanking.
played around with the calculator a little and came up with...

gaining threat from reaver, getting some damage reduction from reaver, gaining what seems to be a lot of parry from paragon. also getting a strength buff from paragon and an endurance buff from paladin as well as a full heal from paladin.

im probablly missing something vital, so if anyone has feedback feel free to inform me.
