I would love to see a Dungeon Finder (like the warfront queue, when you just press a button to find a game) in Rift. It would be awesome.

There have been many discussions on the topic, and there are many people on both sides of the argument. Let's just say that there aren't immediate plans for it to be implemented.

The devs have stated that they're working on something like this (actually they said that back in beta but they said it wouldn't be ready for release).

The big problem with WoW's LFD system is the cross-server functionality of it. The Rift devs have said that the initial implementation would not be cross-server and they would only consider adding cross-server functionality to it if it became necessary (ridiculous queue times for instance)

Yup, a dungeon finder tool has been confirmed. Scott Hartsman has gone so far as to say that something like that is pretty much necessary. The first iteration of the tool will not be cross-realm, though the devs haven't ruled it out. They don't feel that it should be necessary to spam in a chat channel for a group that may or may not come together. It's not fun and if the group doesn't form, it's a waste of time.

That having been said, I see at as being useful primarily for leveling dungeons. No way in **** I'd PUG a T2 and I'd have to be hard pressed to justify doing even a T1 with a random PUG.
