So it's late (like 2:00 AM) and I'm awake trying to close a death rift, but I can't seem to solo the last mob (I'm a 26 paly/warlord on the Guardians' side) cuz of crazy crit magic attacks, out of nowhere this rogue Defiant (lvl 33) and I'm thinking "Oh FML. Might as well jump off the highest peak I can find...." but then he starts attacking the mob and not me!

After we close the rift together, he just salutes me and dissapears.

I feel dirty working with the opposite faction... anyone else run into this?

Happens all the time on Harrow. I think it may occur more often on rp-pvp than just straight up pvp servers.

You're just getting into the areas at your level where guardians and defiants have the shared towns. You'll see a lot more of it soon ;)

You can also clear-text chat with the opposite faction which helps a lot.

it happens alot, and i even catch myself doing it from time to time...

Just last night there was this duo of 50s closing a rift and they had just gotten to a bonus stage when i ran in and killed the healer. The warrior killed me and as i was waiting on my soul walk rez i decided it would be nice to kill the boss and get some credit (ended up getting a corrupted sourceshard). So i told em its a temporary truce to kill that boss. then i got assraped 3v1, but hey it was well played.

On a side note, this ability to communicate with the other faction makes world pvp SO much more fulfilling to me.

I was guilty of it a lot while leveling. I knew that if I killed a guardian, then he would bring friends / annoy me and slow down my leveling. It wasn't worth it to me, so I just called a truce beforehand. I've done this a couple times with rifts as well.

Usually, if I want to world PvP I go out beforehand with that intention. Otherwise I'm usually just focused on doing something else and don't necessarily want to waste the time :P.

I agree. Smack talk is fun.

I remember in wow having people roll alts (this is with a whole separate account mind you) on alliance just to ***** at me for ganking them. Now that that step is removed everyone complains and i feed off their tears!
