I must say, so far I’ve been really surprised by this combo. If I had to describe the build in one sentence, it would be "A Shadow Priest that’s taken many pages from the Resto Shaman’s book." It is much better than I expected. The mana efficiency & survivability was so much better than I initially thought. The Cabalist sigils & death spells are cool, but the support from Warden & Purifier is what really makes this combo good for soloing. The Warden water/HoT spells are great for healing yourself and the Purifier shields & blessings make this class extremely hard to kill. It is just a great, fun class.
Here’s the build I’m currently following and plan on using at 50: Warden (16) / Cabalist (38) / Purifier (12). What do you guys think? The main question I have is – Orbs of the Stream & Dissolution look like very useful abilities, but is it worth sacrificing them for more points in Cabalist for higher damage?
I’d also mention that while this looks like a very good role for solo play, I don’t see its DPS output being overly high, which means I’d probably swap out Warden or Purifier for Inquisitor if I wanted to make a Cabalist DPS role for endgame PvE.
