Does anyone know if you can bind keys to look up, look down and look center like you can in everquest? I have played EQ for 12 years and i never use mouse look, and so it is hard to get used to.

Thanks

While there is probably a way to do this, I place my recommendation solidly in "just make the effort to get used to mouse camera and movement."

I know, it's a pain, my first MMO was FFXI and I played that for 4 years doing everything with my keyboard (mouse controls in that game were a running gag) and it took me a good while to get accustomed to managing my camera and character movement with the mouse instead. Once I did though, it was fantastic, and my ability to respond to things going on in-game shot way the **** up after that.

Thanks for the response

I have to agree that spending a little time getting accustomed to mouse movement and camera control is well worth it. It is likely to seem very awkward at first, but once you get the hang of it, it's a far more responsive and intuitive way to play. I can't imagine going back to using keyboard controls for everything I use a mouse for now. It's just too slow and cumbersome.

Actually, there's one keybind that lets you immediately look 180 degrees behind you. I've found it pretty useful. I think the default keybind is "c" for it?

Default for the look behind is 'v'. I know this because that's what I normally set my Vent keybind to and I had to unbind it in the game to keep from looking like I was running around drunk. It's handy, especially in a PvP environment.

My friends and I have found the look behind "V" key very usefull for when your out in Contested areas, we have used it multiple times for lureing Defiant who think we don't know their behind us into traps that we've set. Like at one point I had a Defiant Rogue that I spoted in the distance go invisible on me so I turnd my back to where I saw him go invisible (pretending that I didn't see) and when he came in for the strike behind me I already had him targeted because I was holding down "V" and was able spin around quick (with the mouse controls) to land the first strike and win the fight.
