Riftblade PvE build helpFollow

I'm trying to make a decent Riftblade build for when I need to go ranged or anything else that would help if I didn't have a pet taking a debuff in the face that can wipe the group. (X-CC anyone? Last boss? Ring any bells?) In any case, I heard Riftblade/Reaver is beast in AoE but can't figure out where to go from there. BM/Champ/Para is my main build for dps although tanking I seem to have a more solid firm grasp of for builds, but any advice for Riftblade builds would be nice. Yes I know Riftblade/para/champ is decent, but I'd like to see a solid build too. Please make sure to link your build if you post one and thanks in advance.

--- Edit ---

Also maybe some basic bread and butter rotations I should be using just to help out as well. I mostly use riftblade as range spec when I do use it so I rely on mostly the ranged abilities resulting in horrible dps mostly (300 D:) so fights that require a dps race I fail in, again thank you for any help you provide.

Again another edit but this is the build I can think of that goes with my idea, feel free to disagree and troll me to death (No don't do that, but I am open to criticism and debate.)

Reason being, 51 into Riftblade for the Avatar of the Rift for increased burst dps, Reaver dots for extra ticking dps and slight self-healing and in case of AoE damage to me I get a death damage increase. the points in champion are to waste but also helps riftblade abilities. Sound logical?

Done some testing with this build, and in mostly blues and a few epics from t1's or the equivilant of t1's I have had a DPS of a little over 500, peaking at around 750 this being single target. The only issues I have had was my energy/power bar would drop pretty quickly just with single target dps. The only way I could see to combat this is by increasing my critical hit chance, but other than that this is a pretty decent build and I still have yet to test it in AoE but I am sure it'd be pretty decent.

Not sure why anyone would even use the build you linked, there is about 0 synergy between Riftblade and Champ. Reaver is a waste for aoe, if you want damage and tons of it just use riftblade paragon it's amazing.

rotation is easy and there is a macro floating around that more or less makes for a 2 button dps spec using this set up.

enjoy
