Droughtlands Teleport Quest: Why??Follow

I got the quest to speak to Fortuna Casini, and was teleported to the Droughtlands. There were no follow-up quests offered. My other quest takes me to Moonshade Highlands.

This left me scratching my head in total confusion. Why in the world was my Guardian character prompted to teleport to the Droughtlands? There were no quests to be found, and it's deep in Defiant territory.

Thank you in advance for any info.

Droughtlands is not Defiant territory. It's directly south of Defiant territory and that's why you're given the port. Defiant get a quest that ports them to the west side of Moonshade Highlands, btw.

Level 36 quests can be picked up from Lantern Plateau, just a bit NW of the Lantern Hook porticulum. Farther north up the road right before the bridge crossing over into Freemarch is another NPC that offers a quest or two that's listed as level 36. Inside Lantern Hook itself are all kinds of quest givers but the quests tend to ramp up fairly quickly in terms of level because the zone is shared for that level range with Moonshade Highlands.

For both factions.

The only "Defiant controlled" zones in the game are Freemarch and Stonefield. Guardian-controlled areas are Silverwood and Gloamwood. Every other zone is "contested".

Thank you!

I must admit, I was guilty of not exploring enough, which is odd for me. I just had an uneasy feeling I had somehow skipped a bunch of quests and was way ahead of where I should be. I went back and ventured out and found the enclave you spoke of. Very exciting, to find myself that deep in a new land.
