What do yall think, highest i've gotten has been 12 so far. Wondering if this would work end game. Wish I didn't have to pvp to pick up the vindicator talent to block.
From what I've heard Paladin's Reprisal requires a shield anyways.

Ok... I'm pretty new to the game so keep that in mind as you read my opinion. I've actually been wanting to create a DW tank as well so if you can find a valid spec let me know!
From what I've seen in the Paladin tree the majority of the defense (blocking and such) comes from the shield. I think using the Paladin tree with a DW spec is hurting you. I'm not sure how well it would work but in both the Paragon tree and the Riftblade tree there are a lot of parry talents... And with that I would think you would want to take either Reaver, Warlord, or Void Knight trees... As those trees don't seem to depend as heavily on a shield. I was looking at the Void Knight specificly though I suspect Reaver is probably going to end up being the answer...

Your right about the paladin tree using alot of block, however it doesn't require the shield for more then 1/2 the blocking talents. Using art of defence from the vindicator you can block without needing a shield equiped.

You have a lot of damage talents, and it looks like you might not be tanky enough or it would be hard to sustain your tankyness. More difficult than its worth IMO unless you want to rush through instances and are 2x confident in your healer.

Not sure where your saying damage talents, there arn't many. Small arms spec and Teaching the 5 rings are flat damage increase across the board wich is a threat buff from agressive guardian, balance of power does do damage but it also heals you when it does. those are the only talents that do anything with dealing damage. everything else is about mitigation.

flat 14% parry boost
75% parry for 10 sec every 30 sec
flat 10% armor boost
flat 10% block boost
flat 9% reduced spell damage taken
13.8% buff to health from gift of the pally
touch of life insta full heal
heal from tip of balance on block
nerf your targets damage from Pacifying strike
endurance +40 standard pally buff to all
become immovable from way of the mountain
strength and power +40 paragon buff
break free = anti CC
guard + subdue look great
fleet of foor and thunderous leap for movment

I apologize... I should have looked at the PvP talents a little more before I commented. Hmmm... This actually looks feasible. I may have to give it a try! :-) Thank you!

this is an interesting idea.... But i see several problems in it

It might be able to tank a physical only boss just fine, but it would not be able to hold up against a magic boss.

The issues i really see with it are:
15points are pretty much wasted so u can dw
21points go into a non tanking soul, but reward u with 14% parry and 10secs of 75%parry every 30secs, which seems nice, but it probably wouldnt be a long enough break for your healer and is only effective against physical dmg boses
No dungeons are 100% physical
5 points wasted on increasing dmg from one handers ... most of the warrior tanking abilities generate more threat by nature and dont need to have buffed dmg
your missing 15% block due to lack of shield

now lets compare this to a widely used build
http://rift.zam.com/en/stc.html?t=1cgAh.VeooszVz.xuqzhz0z.v0Rh00m
with this build, a tank can take on any boss and have decent mitigation against any form of dmg.

Im not saying that your build couldnt tank.... but I will say it would die pretty quickly no anything save a physical boss and thats supposing your in pretty great gear with great healers.

if you want to dw tank... roll a rogue
