I'm just a tiny bit peeved with the new Runeguard dailies.

Chucking buckets over people is fine and none of my characters have any trouble.

The War is Shell however doesn't seem as well thought out. Several of my characters are offered it in a zone to which they don't yet have access. The really low levels get offered it in Freemarch or Silverwood. However in doing it I had two spawns - out of 5 - of "Brood Mothers". These boss level marked mobs killed my poor lowbie in two hits.

Now I know dying in Rift has no real penalty but its kind of unbalanced to have a 2 in 5 chance of just dying with no chance of fighting back.

And the Strengthening the Ward is all fine and dandy but doesn't really accommodate the numbers of people playing. Log in after the rush and every stone is already Blessed/Augmented. Not a biggie but just seems not well enough thought through.

I did these all last night on my 42 rogue. I'd never even been to Shimmersand, so that was fun to find. The Brood Mothers were level 50s; I died pretty quick when I got two on me. After I figured out that immediately stealthing and getting the **** out of dodge would let me live.

Eh, they're dailies. They weren't tough, but weren't really special either.

I saw someone else say this and it also confused the **** of me. The ones in Shimmersand were lvl 40+, but a lvl 50 npc could jump out and try and rofl yo.

Dunno if this is intended or not, but I was still able to cast Augment Wardstone and get credit for it even on full health Ultimate/Transcendent Wardstones. Trouble is, I had to be close enough to kiss said wardstone to properly get credit for the quest, but that's a whole other rant.

This, so very much. On my two 50's, it's not such a big deal, but on my nublet warrior, it's a major PAIN IN THE ***, to put it mildly, and quite simply, smacks of being handed off to some intern to throw together in the last 2-3 days before the update went live.

You can keep using the Wardstone augmenting buff on the max version of the Wardstone, so the credit is intentional. Each time you use it, it fully heals the wardstone.

It's nice not feeling like the only one improving the wardstones. :D

One of my guildies is lvl 41/42 and also had the same problem with lvl 50 mothers for the shell quest in shimmersand.

My lvl 36, however, has lvl 35-36 mothers spawning in moonshade.

Anyone submit a report on it?

EDIT: I can also confirm that it doesn't matter if the stone is already healed. I've been hitting the one at Three Springs each time. :)
