Question: is there a UI box that's moveable that shows the warfront score/objectives/information? And if so, what's it attached to, so I can find it?

I'd get completely pulverized if I asked a question this stupid in WF chat, so you people will have to deal with my ignorance. Smiley: blush

I've got a low level character that I started leveling through warfronts just to experience that aspect of the game - I like starting these things at low level when they're simple and learning as I go. So I've only been in The Black Garden and Codexthingiewhatsit, and I get the concept of the games themselves. (Heal the guy with the big purple light. If he drops the big blue stick, pick it up. Check.) But... then they end and I have no idea why.

See, in WoW, if you were in, say, Alterac Valley, there was a display on your screen of each team's current resources. I see no such display here. I have no idea who's winning, or when the game will end. The Warfront Summary window is no help either, now that I've learned how to display that on demand. (I'm always on top for healing, whee! Of course, there are no other healers.)

I remember when I started playing I had a similar problem with Rifts because it turned out that the Rift objective display was attached to my minimap at the bottom, so when I moved my minimap to the bottom of my UI (where it BELONGS), the Rift part was off the screen. It was so much easier to collect my planarite once I found that. Smiley: cool

In the upper right below your map there is a point counter. It is understandable you do not know this one because this was never in WoW that I know of in this form.

Basically you got the idea. Pick it up and hold it. The closer you are to the center the more points you get

There are UI elements for both Rift objectives and Warfront objectives.

Off the top of my head I can't remember exactly what they're called but I believe they're attached to each other by default (which makes sense since they should appear in roughly the same place and you can't have a rift inside a warfront). So take a look at elements attached to your minimap and see if they're in there. You may have to check the box for advanced UI elements to see them.

Codex and Black Garden both operate on point systems (think Eye of the Storm in WoW) so whichever side reaches the point goal first wins. In the Codex it's 1000, in BG I believe it's 500.

In the Codex, you get points for controlling bases (like Arathi Basin) but the Codex base at the top of the map is worth approximately two of the other bases, so that's your primary focus most of the time.

In BG you get points for holding on to the fang and you get more points the closer you are to the center of the map (where it initially spawns). You also take more damage the longer you're holding the fang until eventually the fang will one-shot the carrier. So you have two potential strategies there, either stay as close to the middle as you can and try to LoS the enemy for as long as you can, or take the fang up closer to your spawn point to make it easier to defend the carrier.

This was exactly what I needed to know, thanks guys. There it was the bottom of my minimap, off my screen. This will make things easier. :)
