This video is taken at gamescom 2011, talkin with some high up people in the rift commuity. Keep in mind this video was talken in germany, and the bottem text is in german. Here is the video link

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ol8dQIPmN2Q

here is the description translated into english

We (Guild Result - Always guard) were on Wednesday at the GamesCom in Cologne and were lucky an appointment for a private conversation with Vice President / Executive Development Director Russ Brown and grab RIFT Producer Adam Gershowitz. This time the facts of the conversation

Facts 1.5:
- 1.5 coming in late September - early October
- There will be "single-Dungeons," belonging to the so-called "Chronicles of Telara". These dungeons are designed for casual gamers and the difficulty is independent of the players who are in the instance, ie you can do it solo but also with a number (will be easier). You can literally right in there with lvl 50 and thus equip themselves a little bit, but only doable solo expert if you have already made a couple of t1 has dungeons and has collected some blue / epic items. It will provide expert expert t1 tokens as in the other dungeons. The instance was shown Hammer Hall so that core and casual gamers the chance to see this instance and no-one feels excluded.
- "Master Mode" will come. It will be really hard for people to be more than casual but are not go raiding every day (It was mentioned several times that the producers have almost an order for content. First come the 20 man dungeons, then for those who do not 20 So you have 5 groups of 10 and then at the end of the casuals who play 1-2 times a weeks or inflexible). The first two dungeons are now being tested Darkening Deep's Deep Strike and Mines. With time, more then likely follow, depending on what instances would like to see the community.
-The new Warfront "Library of the rune master" is coming.
- There will be a "Planar Achievement System." From level 50 you get experience points gained for which you can distribute trees in six special bonus. These trees are used for fine-tuning of the classes. It is thus not at once but you can OP his character, to adapt full attention.

Other facts:
- The new 10-mans "Phoenix Risen" or "Rise of the Phoenix" (no idea how accurate it is called) will not come with a 1.5 because it will put its attention more with 1.5 on the above stuff.
- The new 10er Raid the Hammer Hall will have difficulty even!
- The new area will not come with 1.5
- There will be new Raidrifts with the new area (the earliest from 1.6-1.7)
- There are new aspects of "social life" are planned, ie It is sometime a "Barber Shop" where you can edit to give his character's face
- The issue was discussed and leather warrior. RIFT working hard on the balancing of the items and their goal is that each class also will carry only their own armor. Warriors should therefore stop with their brand to buy leather items because the items will be changed gradually

but just better enough watch the video

other stuff mentioned: 1.6 or 1.7 content?!?! "Ember Isle comes out in 2 patches"

The amount of content LITERALLY makes no sense. This is expansion content. So much!

That does almost sound like something you'd expect in an expansion, but we're getting it for free in a content patch.... huh.

Makes me REALLY curious how much stuff they can mash into a full expansion when that time comes around.

Something I noticed in these last few days is that Rift is slowly taking the dominant position in the North American MMO world. I'm not saying WoW-killer and I'm not saying Rift will ever hit 10mil+ subs. But if you look at what Blizzard has been doing lately, a ton of it is stuff the Trion has already done or already announced for Rift.

I watched enough videos with Scott Hartsman and Adam Gershowitz and the other folks at Trion before the game launched to get the impression that these are just good folks who are passionate about what they do. It's nice to see them not only succeeding, but also being able to take a bit of credit for a lot of the gameplay innovations that are emerging.

I'm half looking forward to that, but there is a lot more that they can do with what they've got right now and I'm liking that--for the moment--we're getting all of this stuff somewhat free (still gotta sub, but **** that's chump change!)

The biggest thing I've noticed coming to Rift from WoW (not because I got tired of WoW, mind you, but I go where my friends go because it's more fun that way) is that the movement code seems to be a LOT better. There are VERY few times that I try to kill people but get "Target too close" or "Target out of range" errors when it appears that I should be able to kill them. As a Hunter in WoW, it was a daily bane spamming arcane shot hoping that this time the client and server would agree that I could fire it.

I get the feeling it is becoming beyond obvious to even the most hardcore WoW fan that Blizzard has completely shifted from WoW.

Like the one said up there this is literally the WoW/Rift/EQ/Final Fantasy/Aion/WAR/Guild Wars/SWToR suggestion forums bundled up into one patch.

I expect to read this kind of stuff on the back of an EXPANSION BOX ok

AA by itself is nothing to mess with. SOLO/DUO instances added on top of that + wtf is MASTER MODE <---I thought that was just qq'n cry babies on the forums, but Trion is giving them hardcore 5 man instances just out of nowhere

I definitely won't mind super-hard instances. Back in BC WoW I'd do naked runs (except for weapons) through normal dungeons with my guild. Some of those trash pulls are absolutely mind-bending if you know that you can't keep the tank up with more than one mob on him.

The only issues I've ever had with movement come with gap closers/openers. Charges, knockbacks, blinks, ports...all prone to rubber banding on the slightest terrain abnormality. It's not game breaking but I do notice it from time to time. Aside from that, Trion made a fairly big deal about the hardware supporting the host software, which is not something you really see MMO developers talk about all that much.

I was expecting it to go 1.5, 1.6, 1.7. Oh well, with this amount of stuff I don't mind oddly numbered patches.

I spent about 15 minutes investigating the hairstyles for my two mains. Both turned out well. My alts, eh, lets just say that that barber shop sounds pretty damned good.
