Im on the epic quest Sweet Nechan.

I have had my guild helping me TRY and do this quest for a week. We have closed Majors and Minors. I know it says "close a major rift in stillmoor" but.. we can only get to round 6 on the minor. We are doing the Major just as quick and dont think it can be done any quicker.

I found this as a guide:

"Sweet Nechan:
Travel to “Stillmoor” and find a “Major Life Rift”, you need to seal it in order to finish the first quest.

Note: It wasn’t as easy as it sounds, I needed 5 Rifts to get this step done, I guess I was just unlucky, it seems that you also need to have looting rights on the final boss of the rift or it won’t count.

The next step is to follow the “Ley Lines” to “Nechtan”, you will be able to use the quest item from time to time to be able to see a line pointing at “Nechtans” location."

Is "looting rights" just master looter?

We are using Lures from the Life Vendor in Sanctum to then use them on MAJOR tears in Stillmoor. Are we able to do it using lures?

Anyone who has done this quest will be doing me a big favour. I thought the Durnes epic quest was the most annoying lol.. untill I got this one.

SO basically.

Can I use Life lures to get the quest item?

I can only see one life lure.. is that the correct one to use?

How do i get to round 6 on Major Life Rift?

Will Master looter enable me to get the epic item I need?

Thanks so much to anyone that can help :)

(I help all my guild through all the epics but im struggling with this one..haha)

Although I do not play Guardians, I AM going to point out that "Expert Life Rift" is NOT the same as "Major Life Rift" in the game. Just look at what it says when you open an expert on the map. It sounds like you're making it 100x more complicated than it needs to be by opening up experts.

Thanks for reply.

When a major tear comes up on map we go there..

What your saying is NOT to use a lure & just open the tear normally.

If we just open major tears normally isn't it just chance that it will be life rift?

A major rift is any rift that shows up as major on the map. Normal rifts out in the world can be either major or minor. The difference between a major rift and a minor rift is that a major rift will typically have elite mobs in all stages, a minor rift will not.

Most rifts are sealed after completing stage 5.

Loot rights on the boss means that your group tapped the boss and did the majority of the damage it took to kill it.

Easiest way is to open your map and mouse over all of the rifts shown and find the closest one to you that is described as a major rift when you mouse over it. Head on over and seal the rift and make a point of going hard on the last boss if any other players are around. Alternately, you can look for tears and it will tell you the plane that the tear is associated with, but whether you get a major or minor rift when you open the tear is not something you can easily control (if it can be controlled at all).

You don't need a lure to open the rift.

Yes, that's exactly how I am saying to do it.

Yes, it's only a chance, but Major Rifts are definitely not the same as Expert Rifts.

(Edit: I wonder if the character designer knows a little Japanese or is an anime/manga otaku. Every time I read this thread title, it keeps making me think "Sweet Older Sister Epic Chain...")

Ok, I'm not sure how to get this quest line started. Can someone give me some pointers on where to look first? There are no NPC's in Sanctum Watch offering me quests. Is it possible I missed something???

EDIT: The only epic quest I have is the new water one.

Got a GM to reset it for me... looks like I'm still on the level 20 portion of the quest lol.
