In a post by Gersh, we can expect some QoL changes to hit PTS.

Just wanted to give everyone a heads up on a few things hitting PTS soonish for 1.5

  • We're reducing the amount of Eternal Planar Dust needed for weekly crafting quests
  • Say bon voyage to individual trade-skill plaques, they will now be one unified currency

We're also taking a quick look to see if we can come up with something to burn your artisan marks on without flooding the game with an excess of high end crafting currencies or materials. Right now we're thinking of a high end random box that has a chance to give you Epic Currency, Materials, and possibly a chance at some of the rare drop recipes as well. -Gersh

YES! I can finally spend the thousands of Artisan Marks I have! (Assuming that goes through...)

And finally, a REAL use for Runecrafter plaques. =X

This makes my mage extremely happy with her two professions and runecrafting dailies sucking as much as they do

Woohoo! This means much less EPD farming, and it also means that my Artificer/Apothecary can get his plaques from the latter instead of burning an ungodly number of a particular type of gem that NEVER EFFING GETS MINED UP! Unless, of course, the comically disproportionate cost of the Artificer weekly has been brought a bit more in line with the other professions' one way or another, which I would greatly appreciate.

Soooooo if the crafting weekly's require less EPD does that mean maybe black/white dye will get a drop in EPDs requires as well? :)

I doubt it, though there might be more dust available in the market at any given time due to the reduction to the weekly crafting quests, that MIGHT drive the price down a little
