Hi there!

I recently started playing Rift (I'm an EQ1 / EQ2 veteran that wanted to try something new). So far, I have a level 11 Mage and I'm loving it. Do you guys have any pointers? Where are most of the mail boxes located (both Guardian and Defiant)? Everything is laid out so wonderfully, except that I can't find any mailboxes. Thanks!

defiant, idk. for guardians, the first mailbox ull come across is in a small encampment near where u start at, has half a bridge nearby. if u dont have it turned on, theres a little eyeball symbol on ur minimap, click it to turn on certain things, including mailboxes. for starting mages, i HIGHLY recommend a build with elementalist for the earth elemental (personal tank, nuff said), possibly a bit of chloromancer to feed it a bit of hp now and then during a fight

Thank you! I'll have to turn it on next time I log in. :)

For Defiants most of the bigger quest hubs in Freemarch have them. Ark of the Ascended (where you first pop up after Terminus) has one for certain, then I think the next hub after that, the hub on the beach and Denegar's Stand. Meridian has a few mailboxes as well, one just outside the city, one near the mount vendor inside and a third in the crafting area.

And I agree with above.. Chloromancer and Elementalist is a nice combo. I also do Chloro and Necro on another toon and that's decent as well, but I think I like Chloro/Elemental better. :)

late game tho, i prefer lock/chloro. just enough in chloro to have the veils, the huge endurance buff(raised in nature), and 2 instacast heals. with a sigil that has 2 healing greaters, and a sacred heirloom of eth, the dots from lock drive the proc rates thru the roof. also makes a nice support build depending on how much help, if any, the healer needs.
