Bind Soul

Speak to any Porticulum Master to start a quest to receive the Soul Recall ability. This means you are able to bind your character's soul to any Porticulum Master for a price and then return to that location with the use of the Soul Recall ability.

Walking

Traveling on foot at a fairly leisurely pace will be the main means of travel until you can acquire a mount.

  • The Bard soul in the Rogue calling also gets a 15% runspeed increase called Anthem of Competence.
  • The Beastmaster soul in the Warrior calling also gets an ability called Bond of Alacrity that enhances out of combat movement speed by 10%.
  • You can also jump and swim. Swimming speed is close to running speed.

Mounts

Mounts provide a faster method of personal travel. They are available at various levels:

  • Level 5 - Skittish 60% Runspeed
  • Level 30 - Nimble 90% Runspeed
  • Level 50 - Swift 110% Runspeed

There are currently no flying mounts in game. Click Here to see a listing of what your new mount will look like!

Porticulums

Porticulums allow the player to bind their souls at various locations throughout Telara. These do cost money to use and costs vary depending on origin and destination. You must first visit the location and speak to a porticulum master before you can use them for travel. Porticulums are for both factions, unless otherwise noted.

PvP

It might seem like a good idea to kill the Porticulum Master of enemy Porticulums, but this is harder than it seems. At first attack, the Master will run into the Porticulum, returning instantly with four level 52 Elite Portguards.
